Thank you for all the amazing messages, emails, and phone calls congratulating us on our news! We were so excited to share it with you! I loved many of your reactions when we did get to tell you and I thank you for your joy and prayers. What was also fun was the many other women who came out and told me they were pregnant too! The fall is going to see a huge baby boom around the Raleigh/Durham area.
Please continue to pray for us and the baby. Pray that the baby would grow healthy and strong. Pray that I would continue to stay healthy; the flu is going around and I am downing orange juice in hopes of building up my immunity. Pray for Jeremy as he deals with me and all my new pregnancy symptoms like not feeling well, tired, and weird food aversions.
In other fun news, my friend Jennifer told me that the WF pregnancy center was looking for volunteers for their ultrasound training so I volunteered and now I get a free ultrasound. This is awesome because usually you only get 2 ultrasounds your whole pregnancy. So that's fun!
Many of you have asked and I realized that I never posted what became of the Charlotte job. We decided that it was not where the Lord was leading us and we called and declined it last Friday. While from the outside it looked like it fit us perfectly, we just didn't have a peace about it and therefore we could not agree to go. We know the Lord has a plan for us and we are awaiting His provision and time. So if you know of anything let us know!

200th Post!!
In honor of my 200th post, I have some exciting news to share...
WE'RE PREGNANT!! 8 weeks pregnant to be more exact! We've known for almost a month but we're waiting until our first doctor's appointment to announce it to the world. (Can you believe I waited that long?!) Friday was our first appointment and we were able to see the baby, its heartbeat, and confirm the due date of Oct. 9th. So we're going to be parents!!
The questions everyone is asking....How are you feeling? Tired and nauseous. I haven't thrown up but sometimes think it would make me feel better. How excited are your parents? Very excited. It will be the first grandbaby on my side and everyone is super excited! Jeremy's family is excited too. Ok I have pregnancy brain...I really don't remember the others. :)

Potpourri Post
I'm sorry I've gotten so slack on updating the blog recently. Life is busy and honestly not super exciting to report. We are both really busy with school and just trying to make it through to June.
The church in Charlotte finally emailed us at the end of the week, giving Jeremy a list of benefits and salary. While they haven't made an official offer, we feel like if they are sending a salary/benefits they must be thinking in that direction. We are still praying about the situation and trying to figure out if we can live on that salary. We know that no one goes into the ministry to become rich, but we have to figure out if it is feasible. We also have to decide if this is somewhere were we can really worship, grow, and serve. Please continue praying for us!
We currently in Boone for the weekend visiting Jeremy's folks and my brother. Emma (Jeremy's mom) was very sweet and helped me finish up a sewing project I started this summer. I am currently taking my old sorority shirts from college and making a quilt out of them. Before today all I had done was cut out the squares. Today we finally assemble the front and now I just have to back it and "quilt it". This was a bigger undertaking that I originally had planned but luckily my mother in law is an expert seamtress. I'll take a picture of once it is all officially complete.
Monday I have a day off, which is much needed then we have a workday on Tuesday. I have meetings all day but at least it's two days without the kids. After the extremely long week I had last week, it is relief.
Did anyone see the Tarheels play today? Wow, what a great victory over VT. I love this time of year and especially my Tarheels. I do hope that Ty Lawson will get better soon and return to the team because a couple of the games have been way too close for comfort.
Oh one more fun thing, our friends Trevor and Keva's adoption finally went through the Ethopian government and they are officially parents again. Check out their blog...Isaac is adorable! Congratulations guys!

Follow Up & Party Time
First of all, thanks to everyone on their advice and comments. They were very much appreciated and taken to heart. I have been praying a lot about the situation and seeking the advice of trusted friends and I feel like I am more at peace. I am still not 100% sure that this is where God is calling us but we will continue to seek His guidance.
The church did call us today and have asked us to come back and talk with them. They would like us to come on a weekday so that I can see the school in action to see how I like it. They said they would also like to talk job description and salary with Jeremy so it is looking like they would like him to come on board. We will make a decision once we visit again. I am hoping that another visit there will allow me more clarity. I feel like Jeremy has it more than I do. Please continue to pray for us that the Lord would give us clarity and direction.
In other fun news, my friend Keva had her annual Pink and Red Party tonight. We all brought a sweet or salty dish and a $10 gift (pink or red) for the game. Once there we hung out and ate, then Keva had a cute little craft for us to make. I can't tell you about it because one or two of you may get it next week. :) Then we played a version of the Christmas game Dirty Santa but we did fun girly presents. I brought this super cute Vera belt 
and really wanted to take it home but Keva got it. Instead I brought home this awesome retro apron. Overall, it was a fun evening and I'm glad we postponed our Boone trip so that I could go. Great job, Keva! Alright, it's off to bed.

The Interview
First, thank you all for your encouraging messages and prayers after my last post. It was a crazy week but luckily it is over and next week will be better.
So we went to Charlotte this weekend for Jeremy's interview with a church. The interview is for a graphic designer position that would be employed by the church and the church's school. Going in we didn't have a lot of expectations. We had heard lots of rumors about the church and like always everyone had their opinion. We went with an open mind knowing that in the end, it was only the Lord's opinion we cared about.
We got to Charlotte early so we met up with Jeremy's brother for lunch and quick walk around Concord Mills. After that we checked into our hotel (which the church paid for...everything during our time was paid for...which was fabulous!) and prepared for ourselves for our ride to pick us up at 5. At exactly 5, we were picked up by one of the staff members and went to the church. The church is HUGE! The staff member showed us around the campus and the school. (They have a K-12th grade school on campus so he showed us around all the facilities including athletic fields and classrooms.) Jeremy was shown the office he would have and he was impressed with all the equipment that they have. They do all their printing and publishing on site and Jeremy was excited to see all the equipment while I, on the other hand, knew what any of it was.
After the tour, we sat down with one of the pastors and the headmaster of the school and they asked us tons of questions. I was actually more relaxed than I originally thought I was going to be. These two men were very sweet and easy to talk to. They seem geniuely interested in us and Jeremy's ministry goals. They said they were very impressed with Jeremy and his work and really feel like the Lord could use them there. They've asked us to pray about what direction the Lord is leading us and they would follow up with us at the end of the week. Following the interview, they took us out to dinner and we got to ask more questions about their ministry and we were able to tell them things the Summit was doing. We left the night feeling really at ease and optomistic.
Since it was still early in the night, we called up our friends April and Steven who work at this church and went over to their house for dessert. It was great to hang out with them and catch up! April and Steven lived across the parking lot from us when they were here in seminary and April used to cut my hair.
Sunday we went to their Sunday school program and church with April and Steven. We attended a young married class and then went to service. They were celebrating the Christian school that day so the kids sang and an alum preached. April and Steven took us to lunch afterwards and now we're home and watching the Super Bowl.
So, you may be asking, how do you feel about it? Do you want to go? The answer is I'm torn. I think this is a great opportunity. There is a possibility for a job for me at the school, our kids (one day) would be able to attend the school for free, and it encompasses both of Jeremy's degrees. He seems excited about it and I want to support him. Also if this were to work out, we would already have a job lined up after graduation and we could go ahead and start looking at houses and getting life started there. The job search would be over!
On the other hand, while Charlotte is not far at all, it is further away from my family. My entire life I have been less than 2 hours away from them and it was always a quick hop, skip, jump to see them. Charlotte is about 3.5 hours from them. Now, Shannon, aren't you being a baby? I mean really it's not that far. I know, I know! But with us wanting to start a family soon, 3.5 hours is a lot different than 45 minutes. So I am asking you out there blog world, what are your thoughts? Am I being ridiculous? Will you please also pray for us that the Lord would give us clear direction in this situation? We want to glorify Him above all else.
