Praise Report

There is much to update you on...

**Monday, we had a 3 month follow-up with the oncologist to monitor the progress of Oliver's tumor. By my examination, I felt like it had shrunk a considerable amount. Honestly I kind of forget about it sometimes because I had been so use to it just being there. Luckily, it just wasn't my imagination and the doctor confirmed that the tumor had shrunk by 75%!!! It went from 4 cm (or mm..I can't remember) to 1! We all were super excited about it's progress and he told us now that we could start coming every 6 months. He said it's likely to finish shrinking on it's own but even if it doesn't, taking something out that small will be no big deal once he is a little older.

**This school year I will be teaching once again! On Thursday, I accepted a position as a teacher in a 3 year old preschool classroom. I will teach MWF from 9-1 at The Children's Academy at the Morrison YMCA. I currently work at this Y in the childwatch center and heard about this position online while researching something for her. I will finish out my shifts for the next weeks (or find coverage) and begin teaching right after Labor Day. What is so nice is that my kids can go to the childwatch program while I am teaching free of charge! Owen loves going to the Y so I know one more day will be fine for him. Oliver is slowly getting adjusted and I hope that he will soon settle into a routine. It hasn't helped that I am in his rooms once a week right now.

**Owen's 3rd birthday is less than 6 weeks away! That is so crazy to me! With his birthday impending, it is time to start transitioning him out of the Infant/Toddler program and into the school system for therapy. We finally schedule and set up times for his evalution and possibly/most likely IEP meeting. We have loved the support we have received in this program and I'm sad to see it end. Owen will now receive services through Charlotte Meck Schools and we will drive him into an elementary school once a week. With that said, Owen has made tremendous strides in this program. He is talking more and clearer every day and just this last month made huge physical milestones. Things he can do now: He has started swinging with no help, he jumped off the floor (his feet actually left the ground), he can walk up the stairs by himself, he is jumping on a trampoline, and more. This may seem like little things, but for a kid with gravitational insecurities, it is awesome!

**We have paid off one big medical bill completely! This is a praise because it means we are finished with that provider and can now move that money into paying off another. Slowly but surely we are getting these debts paid!

We praise God for His blessings and provisions!
