DIY Dishwasher Detergent

After the success of the homemade, all-natural laundry detergent, I am intrigued at what other household cleaners I can make. One product I always found expensive, even with coupons, was dishwasher detergent. My sister in law had great success with a recipe she found so I took the plunge. You know what, it works great and it's so easy.

The recipe:
1 cup of Borax (which I had from making laundry detergent)
1 cup of baking soda
1 envelope of lemonade kool-aid (Not really sure what the kool-aid does, but it works.)

Use 1 tablespoon in the door-covered hole.

My glass have had some water spots on them, but I've been told that you can fill the Jet-Dry dispenser with white distilled vinegar and the problem will be solved.

With another successful product, I can't wait to try more! I have some friends who clean mostly with vinegar, baking soda, water, and essential oil.  Think I may try that next! :)
