Oliver at 9 Months (Updated)

It's amazing to me how the Lord makes each of us so unique.  I am constantly amazed how two boys who came from the same two parents and have been raised the exact same way can be so different.  As I watch Oliver grow, I am surprised by how quickly he catches onto new things and is hitting his milestones so much earlier than Owen.  I know part of it is being a 2nd child, but it's also due to Owen's delays.

Oliver has now reached the 9 month mark!! In 3 short months, we'll be celebrating his 1st birthday..I still can't believe it! Little guy is growing so much..I just love it!

This month, he is...

At his 1st UNC game, Sept. 6th
  • 20 lbs (42 %tile) and 30 in tall (94 %tile) with a head of 18 3/8 in (86 %tile) so he's long and lean with a big head. :)
  • wearing 9-12 month clothes (but is quickly growing out of them)
  • always moving..he is crawling on his hands and knees now, but if he wants to go somewhere fast he reverts back to army crawling
  • pulling to his feet on anything whether it moves or not.  He has quite a number of tumbles trying to get on something that has moved in the process, but he takes it all in stride.
  • starting to walk along the furniture
  • now getting one bottle of formula in the late morning while at the Y. (My schedule at preschool didn't coordinate with his and I wasn't finding time to pump/making enough to supply him so we've gone to formula for that feeding.) He is doing rather well with the bottle now and I'm very thankful.
  • having serious separation anxiety at the Y and poor thing has cried off and on most mornings for the last 2 weeks there.
  • need of a haircut around his ears but I'm refusing to cut it yet.
  • currently obsessed with black beans and pears.
  • in love with his brother and wants to be where he is/play with what he has/kiss him/wrestle with him
  • loves when people blow bubbles..he thinks it's hilarious
  • loves riding in the Cozy Coupe
Such a messy eater

Such a ham!

Standing up on everything

Crawling everywhere
