Remember that foot pain and swelling I was having? Well I made an appointment with the podiatrist today to have it checked it out. The OB thought it was an inflammed nerve and could easily be fixed with a steroid shot. Boy was he wrong!!
Today after lots of pressing on my foot and an x-ray, it has been determined that I actually BROKE my foot! There is a small break/fracture in my 2nd metatarsals (middle toe bone in the foot) that has been misdignosed for the last 2-3 weeks.
Now my left foot has been wrapped and placed in a lovely black boot for the next 3 weeks. I am to wear it like a regular cast, only taking it off to sleep, for the next 3 weeks. I even have to shower with my foot out of the shower.
All of this with having a newborn. PTL, my mother-in-law is here until Thursday but the next 2 weeks may be a little more difficult. We also need to start packing as our move-in date is 3 weeks away too.
So if anyone isn't busy and wants to come hang out and help, please feel free. :)

I'm sorry that you broke your foot! It's surprising how easy it is. I broke mine once when I was walking across a volleyball court, it just turned the wrong way. My mom is currently in the same lovely black boot, she missed a step on the stairs and broke a bit of her heel. She walked on it thinking it was just bruised for several weeks before finally getting it x-rayed. I hope the move goes well and that you guys are having such fun with Owen and that your foot heals quickly!
So sorry to hear this news. Sheri sprained her foot after a fall with her newborn, Silas. She is also in a boot.
Girl!! Did you cross paths with a black cat or crack a mirror? Joking! Look on the bright side...things can only get better...right :) I want to bring you guys some food. What does next week look like?
