After a fun lunch with lunch with
Lauren, I came back to the apartment and started up my next sewing project. When our son is born, I plan on breastfeeding so for this project I made a nursing cover. Nursing covers are great so that you can still nurse but be in the presence of friends, family, etc. These covers, which have another fun
name, are sold for $35 and I made mine for less than $5. Below are pictures of my final product.

Here it just looks like an apron, but at the top it has some boning in it that makes a window for me to see down inside.

Here is a side view where you can tell how it sticks out a little at the top.
You can tell a little more in this picture how the top sticks out. Imagine a baby under there now. :) Can't wait to meet the little guy! Speaking of which, we have about 5 names we like but have not made an official commitment to his name. I have posted a poll over on the right. Give us your thoughts.
I posted twice today so there is another post below so don't miss out.

I am amazed how many parents are naming their child so early (before birth.) I suppose that's better than letting the kid get here and not have a name for a couple of days, right Ben?
That is so much fun!! The Hooter Hider is what we called it when Erin had Carolyn. I think I might attempt to sew one in the future...40 dollars in alot. You are so talented!!!
ok i need this pattern too ;)
That is so cute! Was it hard to do? Where did you get the pattern? I hope things are going great!!!!
hehe I have only taught one of those names so that is good...that is why I am trying to have kids before I teach more children and have to make up a name...:)
Shannon - you are so crafty! My good friend bought an "HH" for her son and loves it. I enjoy seeing all your crafty projects for baby - keep posting!
